Windows Help File Rules

The hyperlinked Windows® help file rules contain the rules, player tables, diplomatic and research appendices, the scenarios and the maps, all together for easy reference. It is a great companion for use with Warplanner or for answering rule questions!  The rules reflect both the published rules and all changes to those rules through June 30th, 2010.  The file was last updated on July 4th, 2010.

Features:

  • All rule references are hyperlinked
  • There is a fully hyperlinked Sequence of Play and Index
  • The rules are fully searchable:
    • Can't find that one rule that mentions "CVEs"? Type CVEs in the Search tab and every rule in which it appears will be listed and every appearance of the word highlighted.
    • Want to find every mention of the phrase "supply determination"?  Type the phrase and use quotes around it.
    • Want to find the words isolation, isolating, isolated, isolate?  Just type isolate, and all other forms of the word will also be found.

This is a compiled help file (.chm) that uses Microsoft's Help engine to display and navigate the document.  Click here to download the file.

Because of a security issue you may have to right-click on the .chm file after you download it and select Properties then select the Unblock button.

The Windows help file rules do not contain the record sheets used to play the game. This is because the record sheets need to be in PDF format to print correctly. The record sheets can be downloaded from the PDF Rules page or from the game aids for each scenario below.
